The Tube product area, within the business area Sandvik Materials Technology (SMT), is specialized in seamless tubes and pipes and associated parts. The Core & Standard Marketing & Sales organization focuses on engineering future designs through global cooperation with industry technical groups (ITGs). In order to build a new Core and Standard Technical Marketing function, we are now looking for a Regional Technical Marketing Manager for Americas. In this senior position, you have a local focus, while also maintaining a global approach to applications, industries and major customer development.

The location for this position is flexible within a Sandvik site in Americas.

Job Summary

As Regional Technical Marketing Manager, you focus on developing and maintaining the technical marketing organization, in order to extend the technical and application knowledge on both a regional and a global level. The role is a link between R&D, Marketing, Sales, Supply and customers' technical experts and provides an opportunity to maintain useful knowledge, through building networks. You are responsible for monitoring new technologies, market trends and industry needs to prepare the company’s future materials and application developments, while identifying supply development needs. You improve operational performance in the areas of safety, quality and work methods and develop the technical marketing capability to attract and develop talent to feed the leadership pipeline. You manage industry technical groups and application development on a global basis, and develop long-term partnerships with key customers. Furthermore, you identify opportunities to develop new solutions for customers, including new products.

You report to the Global Technical Marketing Manager and international travel is a natural part of the role.

Your profile

For this senior position, we are looking for someone with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or other technical area, or equivalent knowledge obtained through extensive and solid work experience. You have excellent industry and application understanding within target industries, such as oil and gas, refinery, chemical processing and power generation, or the metals industry. You also have excellent knowledge of production standards and customer approval programs, as well as good corrosion knowledge. You have good skills in English, in both writing and speaking, while skills in other languages are advantageous.
