Use your experience in government policy reform, government financing partnerships, and scientific rigour in this exciting new conservation role.

WWF-Australia, the global conservation organisation, is seeking a highly skilled manager with experience achieving government policy reform and securing significant funding grants. Managing a small team of professionals in the ACT and along the Eastern Seaboard the position promotes WWF-Australia’s conservation policies to Australian governments and other stakeholders. The National Manager provides strategic analysis and advice on a range of conservation issues, secures significant funding for WWF’s national and international programs, leads targeted conservation science research, and ensures WWF meets the organisational requirements associated with government aid agency funding.

The successful candidate will need:

  • Government aid agency expertise
  • Conservation policy and advocacy experience including the ability to work with politicians
  • and bureaucrats
  • High level conservation science qualifications and expertise
  • A strong track record securing government grants
  • Excellent negotiation, people and financial management skills and experience
