Service Engineer Tunnelling & Mining Equipment

Our Aim:

Within the Mining and Rock Excavation Service division it is our vision to be the number one provider of Parts and Services in our industry.
To realize our ambitious growth targets we now seek to appoint a Service engineer who takes the lead in materializing our vision and makes the difference.


Your Mission:


The responsibilities for this role in Technical Service include the following areas:

Product and application training to the Customer Centres and end customers
Work with development of professional training material
Participate in product development projects
Execute field tests internally and externally
Give technical feedback from the field back to the product company
Address internal technical issues reported by our Customer Centres as well as working with warranty and service reports.
Work together with the Technical Documentation department when creating instructions, service schedules and spare part books.
Daily support to our Customer Centres.
Start-up and commissioning of Atlas Copco products at customer sites. Including theoretical and practical training.
The job in Technical Service does require travelling to some extent… about 60 – 80 days per annum.


Experience requirements:

The ability to speak and write English at acceptable level is required. Any other language skills will also be considered highly.
The applicant should have good knowledge about Atlas Copco drilling products especially face drilling rigs.
Good computer skills are required.
Application knowledge is an advantage but not required since internal training will be offered.
Experience from work at a service organisation in a Customer Centre is a plus or if you have similar experience with a civil contractor or mining organisation.

Good communications ability and a genuine interest to meet and work with people from different cultures are required since this job includes many internal and external contacts.

The new Service Division within the Mining and Rock Excavation Technique business area will become operational 1 October 2011. It will have an annual turnover of around MSEK 8,500 and around 4,000 employees globally.
