For our Infrastructure & Cities Sector in Nuremberg we are looking for a Software Developer (m/f) with know how about Graphical Information Systems at the earliest opportunity.

What are my responsibilities?
  • Cooperation with system architects and independent implementation of a software design (breakdown in components)
  • Compilation of functional specifications, effort estimations and development schedules
  • Implementation of SW systems (including studies and/or prototypes), performing tests and quality assurance tasks such as code reviews, usability checks, code inspections
  • Support the commissioning of customer projects; product maintenance
  • Coaching of a team ( during implementation, design, test to build up know how regarding geospatial data bases, processing of geospatial data)
  • Pursuance of project and product spanning targets:
  • Compilation of maintenance and programming directives
  • Compilation and selection of a suitable development environment
  • Design and maintenance of basic, central SW components
  • Creation of a suitable system/SW architecture for product families
  • Participation in "continuous process improvement" teams and committees
What do I need to qualify for this job?
  • University degree in Computer Science, Media IT or Electrical engineering,
  • Geo visual analysis and GIS data processing
  • Experience in Geographic Information systems (GIS)
  • Profound knowledge in Programming languages: C, C++, Java, OOA/OOD, Spatial data bases, Oracle Spatial, Post GIS/SQL
  • Profound knowledge about Spatial analysis, Geo visual analysis and GIS data processing
  • Knowledge in Test methods, Configuration management, SQL, Development of redundant server systems and Client-/server architecture
  • Skills in Operating systems: Windows, Linux
  • Business fluent in English and German
  • Working successfully in international teams, maybe experience in working abroad
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of storing and processing of geographical data
  • Successfully worked in intercultural teams, preferable with life and work experience abroad, Intercultural experiences
  • Creativity– Ability to learn – Result orientation – Communication Skills – Team Skills – Coaching und Mentoring
