For the Global Supply Quality, Castings & Forgings department we are looking for an experienced Supply Quality Engineer to ensure continuous focus on the qualification process within our Procurement organization. The department has the overall responsibility of securing that suppliers (foundries primarily in Europe) meet Siemens Wind Power’s product requirements as well as corporate responsibility.

Work Assignments

As a Supply Quality Engineer you will handle supplier quality management systems and supplier process and product qualification in accordance with relevant requirements. More specifically, your responsibilities will cover:

• Conducting supplier qualifications and product qualifications (First Article Inspection) of casted and machined components

• Following up on suppliers with regard to product and process quality in compliance with Siemens Wind

Power’s requirements

• Investigating, analyzing and correcting quality discrepancies in relation to products and quality at supplier

• Evaluating supplier performance, including quality performance

• Formulating supplier strategy in relation to quality development on a yearly basis and acting as a representative and liaison of the quality team

• Participating in casting commodity meetings on a regular basis

Your Profile

You have a BSc or MSc in Engineering and minimum 2 years of professional experience from a similar position in an international company. Knowledge of metallurgy and / or casting technologies is an advantage. As a person you are self-driven, assertive and quality-oriented, and you have a structured approach to your tasks. You are a dedicated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and you are capable of interfacing with numerous parties at all levels in a multicultural environment. Furthermore, you possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing.
