We are looking for a talented web developer to join the msnbc.com Creative Dev team. The position plays a key role in creating first-class web experiences - on both mobile devices and desktop - across the msnbc.com family of news sites. The right candidate will have strong skills with C# and ASP.NET MVC and experience with CSS and Javascript. A commitment to lean development practices and proper coding standards is crucial.
Key responsibilities:
· Collaborating with a small team of designers and developers to build innovative sites and apps
· Staying up-to-date with new internet technologies and platforms, acquiring new skills along the way
· Developing exceptional user experiences, while meeting project deadlines
Qualifications:
· BA/BS, design or computer science focus
· 3-6 years experience developing web sites or web apps, preferably in media industry
· Development experience with front-end technologies such as, HTML, CSS, Javascript, third party platforms and APIs, as well as back-end technologies like C#, ASP.NET
· Excellent communication skills, time management and goal setting
· Strong interest in news content
