Field Manager, Project Director, Mobilizer
The Working Families Party (www.workingfamiliesparty.org) is hiring new and experienced progressive activists to work on urgent New York State campaigns. Staff will help educate and mobilize around legislative campaigns-focusing on economic & social justice.
The only requirements are that you are enthusiastic and an energetic communicator with a passion for making a difference in New York.
Formed in 1998, The New York Working Families Party (WFP) has a proud record of
fighting for issues that matter. The WFP has been instrumental in implementing key pieces of legislation such as Raising New York's Minimum Wage, Enacting Living Wage Laws, Creating Thousands of Jobs In the Green Economy, Passing Healthcare Reforms on the Local Level, Keeping Tuition Costs Low, Voter-Owned Elections, Progressive Taxation and most recently Corporate Accountability. In addition, WFP has an unapologetic stance on supporting and pushing good candidates to enact progressive legislation.
Through WFP's commitment to socio-economic justice and diligent mobilizing-WFP offers a model for successful, lasting progressive change in New York State.
The WFP is looking for outgoing, articulate, determined, fun and creative people to join our long term staff. Recent graduates and students who are looking to begin or advance their careers are encouraged to apply. WFP is also excellent for those preparing for graduate school. All our senior operational staff members are former campaign staff, having progressed through the ranks in this way.
