Health Programme Managers

Building on these strong foundations, Save the Children’s Global Strategy highlights our work in fragile states as a key priority in the coming years, with a focus on increasing our capacity to overcome the operational challenges of working in these contexts and deliver more impact for children and their families.

In support of this ambition Save the Children is looking for experienced health professionals with a background in primary health care (including health worker training and immunisation) and the integration of nutrition into health service delivery. We are looking for people who are dynamic, able to work in challenging environments and who will make a major contribution to the development of the organisation’s work in a number of priority countries. We are particularly interested in candidates with demonstrated expertise in the delivery and management of reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health programmes including health systems strengthening and community engagement in developing countries (for the full specification please see below). While the exact responsibilities and job title as will the period and nature of the contract (both permanent and consultancy roles) may vary from one country programme to another, this generic Job Profile aims to give an indication of a typical role .
