Marketing Services Manager


Purpose:
The Marketing Services will galvanize all of the company's marketing resources to both build and leverage the portfolio of products in order to drive share and revenue growth.
Top Accountabilities

Event Planning and Activation:
· Work with the various Brand Teams to develop and implement marketing strategies, which enhance the corporate vision and drive performance against business objectives.
· Have a rigorous, disciplined planning process and a tracking mechanic to ensure timely stakeholder engagement and subsequent approval of documentations for planned activities. This will include A & P monitoring and Activity Measurements and Evaluation.
· Leverage internal and agency capabilities and resources to realize the full potential of market opportunities for planned events and activations.
Media Management:
· Driving an organizational shift in thinking toward the use of more innovative media placement, selection, packages and deals for efficiency through strategic leadership and consultation with brand groups and respective agencies.
· Champion media reviews and reconciliations for maximized media spend and usage and share key learning.
· Transform current focus on purchasing efficiency to one which balances efficiency with building higher awareness and deeper connections with target consumers through placement innovations.
· Manage Outdoor Data Base and develop a longer term strategy that anticipates changes in consumer media usage patterns and leveraging the latest thinking to build deeper connections to consumers.
Sponsorships and Promotions:
· Maximize the use of properties through effective upfront rights negotiating, development of programs to extend the properties and to generate appropriate consumer and trade activity and impact.
· Analyze marketing program effectiveness, evaluate results and variances, and measure ROI of various marketing activities and programs.
· Ensure that all promotions are carried out according to laid down procedures.

Qualification/Experience
· A University Degree. A relevant post graduate certificate an advantage
· Strong classical marketing/brand management experience.
· A disciplined marketing strategist and brand builder with 3 or more years of increasingly responsible roles within well-regarded consumer product and/or marketing services companies.
· A combination of both product and marketing services experiences, with depth in CRM, and either media, consumer market development, or sponsorships and promotions.
Barriers to Success
· Inability to manage and influence a spectrum of key stakeholders and elicit buy-in and support across the organisation.
· Inability to think creatively and learn fast, adaptation to a new, flexible role and manage relationships with varied stakeholders.
· Inability to work with ambiguity / entrepreneurial environment
