GBS USA Finance is delivering accounting, performance management and financial supply chain services to the Business Areas active in the USA and is looking for an enthusiastic person to provide support to our Onshore business cluster controller.

Job description

  • Support and advice the Onshore business cluster controller and management by:
  • Strategy definition and target setting
  • Short and long-term planning/forecasting
  • Follow up of results vs. forecast and actions
  • Prepare performance reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
  • Conduct and assist in Management Systems updates
  • Prepare/coordinate/publish manual key performance indicators in MiS
  • Prepare monthly asset reporting package
  • Support on budget process for the licenses and follow-up
  • Update and maintain BPS (Business Planning System)
  • Coordinate information gathering from business units, asset managers and commercial group
  • Maintain a close relation and dialogue with key stakeholders in the business
  • Participate in relevant Statoil Finance networks to align and share experiences
  • Perform special projects and other tasks as required

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7+ years experience in Finance & Control for upstream oil and gas activities
  • 5+ years experience in US onshore business
  • 5+ years experience in performance management analytics
  • Strong systems aptitude
  • Strong communication and networking skills towards higher management
  • Preferred:
  • CPA
  • SAP experience
  • US Onshore accounting experience
  • Experience in a large multinational upstream company
