Senior Human Resources Business Partner

Position
Summary

Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. is world leader in Memory, System LSI and LCD technologies. We are currently searching for a highly talented and motivated person to join our Human Resources Team as a Senior HR Business Partner to lead the Sales and Marketing function in San Jose. This role will support key Sales and Marketing leaders, play a major role in shaping and implementing HR strategy and programs to support both short-term and long-term business goals.




Common Essential
Duties & Resp.

- Support the implementation of appropriate HR solutions aligned with overall business direction.
- Integrate HR strategy with business strategy to drive change, innovation and growth for the organization.
- Support and influence business leaders on strategic HR matters.
- Work independently and with the HR Centers of Excellence (Staffing, Learning and Development, Compensation, and Talent Management) to ensure business groups receive necessary and timely support.
- Supervise HR staff to run day to day operation.
- Manage complex employee relations issues. Investigate employee issues and complaints in timely, professional manner; respond to and resolve issues as appropriate. Work with legal department to effectively deal with possible conflicts related to employer practices.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations when assisting in the creation of policies and procedures.
- Support the implementation of Organizational Development and training programs that drive innovation and employee engagement.
- Play a key role in managing all aspects of performance management process for the R&D function. Manage the performance review cycle, performance improvement plans, and provide performance consulting from time to time.
- Manage succession planning process for the R&D function. Leverage COE’s to provide cutting edge solutions and career development opportunities for top talent within the organization.
Work with COE’s and business unit leaders to develop workforce plans and staffing needs for each of the business units. Maintains staffing practices consistent with COE and other SSI divisions staffing models along with all other compliance requirements.
- Partner with Compensation and Benefits COE’s to ensure consistency and competitive rewards structure.



Background /
Experience

• Minimum 7 years of business partner experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Industrial Relations, Human Resource Management, Business or Psychology required.
• MBA and/or SPHR certification preferred.
• Experience managing a Sales and Marketing function in High Tech industry preferred.
• Solid understanding of employment laws and employee relations experience.
