MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS OFFICER
Salary: R149 741 per annum (Level 7)

The Finance Department of the Legal Aid South Africa in Braamfontein is looking to recruit a Management Information Systems Officer. All suitably qualified persons are invited to apply to fill this position. This position reports to Management Information Systems Supervisor.

Position purpose: Responsible for performing reconciliations in the General Ledger system, preparing and capturing journals, as well as posting journals and sub-ledgers.

Key performance area:
• Reconcile General Ledger Accounts
• Resolve reconciliation queries
• Ensure correct allocation of petty cash expenses
• Prepare and capture journals
• Do posting of journals and sub-ledgers
• Assist in budget and MTEF preparation
• Process budget transfer and maintain records of transfers.

Competencies (skills, knowledge and attributes) required:
• Recognised Grade 12 certificate with Accounting at Higher Level as a subject
• 2 years’ working experience within a finance environment
• Bank reconciliation experience
• Payment processing skills
• Financial and management accounting skills
