The Asia Pacific Liner Operations Cluster (APALOC) is responsible for all activities related to marine operation and cargo management in the APA geography. This covers all terminal, port, feeder and mother vessel operation activities in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands.
With a spent of USD 900 Million per annum and responsibility to manage Maersk Line’s most important hub ports of Tanjung Pelepas and Singapore. Asia Pacific Liner Operations Clusteris looking for APALOC Cost Control &Reporting Manager.
APALOC Cost Control & Reporting Manager will be part of the APALOC Business Performance Management function. The person will be the team leader for the cost control & reporting team (10 FTE) with a responsibility to drive and deliver results for LOC score card.
The responsibilities includes but not limited to KPI deployment, financial reporting and analysis, proactively and constructively challenging the status quo, maintaining and enhancing the Visual Management System and Monthly Performance Review processes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The key responsibilities for the positionare:

Be responsible for the annual KPI deployment and target setting across the LOC in close cooperation with the functional managers

Own and drive Cost Drive 2012, Radical Cost Ideas and Laundry List items through gap analysis

Own and drive business performance reporting framework and ad-hoc reporting. This includes NOPS, RoFo, weekly reporting, monthly performance reviews, etc.

Own and drive cost transparency, audit and analysis

Ensure products and costs (own by APALOC & Countries) are valid in the Maersk Line product catalogue (MePC)

Proactively identify, analyze and evaluate potential financial and operational risks/upsides and mitigate these with relevant stakeholders
-
Coordinate with internal as well as external stakeholders to ensure local, global and legal requirements are met

Own and drive the overall business performance through improving the Asia Pacific Liner Operations Cluster Scorecard/KPI

Office & administration cost reporting
THE PERSON
The ideal candidate should be

Post graduate
-
Understanding of Maersk Line’s operational business processes and systems
-
A minimum of 5-7years experience in liner shipping. Experience in cost control or business performance management is preferable.

Prior leadership experience is a benefit
Technical skill requirements:

Suit of Microsoft office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio and Project

Maersk Line in-house systems (SAP R3 / RKEM / RKCM / MEMS / TICO / GLEO / RKCO / DCD / GCSS / Marvel/ MePC / WebI / BO report generating tool)
