Position Summary The Network Administrator provides professional services in the realm of hardware, software and technical support. This includes server implementation and maintenance, LAN and WAN maintenance and implementation and assessment of technical needs.
S/he works in collaboration with Server Team in the implementation and maintenance of server and environmental systems and participates and provides technical support for WAN and field office data replication and integrity.
Reporting & Supervision This position reports to the Director of Data Center Operations.
Primary Responsibilities * Administration and maintenance of Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, Call Manager, Citrix and other critical network systems. * Oversight and Management of Backups with focus on testing and assuring data recoverability. * Provide end to end technical support for all aspects concerning the Local Area Network and Wide Area Network with focus on reliability and business continuity. * Document and provide technical assessments for future improvements of the LAN including configuration, security, hardware and software.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities * Work in collaboration with help desk, software development and field IT units.
Required Skills & Qualifications * Bachelor*s degree in Computer Science or MIS or equivalent work experience. * In depth experience with MS Windows Server 2003 R2, 2008 and 2008R2, Vista, Windows 7; administration of DNS, DHCP, and WINS; Thorough knowledge of and experience with LAN and WAN architectures including TCP/IP configurations, Ethernet (Fast, Gigabit and 10GB), IPSEC, and VPN; Cisco switches, routers, VOIP; configuration of complex network technologies and experience in data center implementation and maintenance. * Experience supporting users in a help desk * Experience with administration, installation, and configuration of Microsoft Exchange 2003-2010 and SQL Server 2005-2008R2 as well as EMC Clarion Storage and CommVault backup software. * Knowledge of command line and scripting languages including Cisco IOS and PowerShell with experience configuring and troubleshooting network systems. * Abilities in project management, job estimation, problem solving, interpersonal communications * Strong communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills
