Compliance Engineer - Maersk Drilling, Lyngby, Denmark

The Compliance Engineer is responsible for maintaining an effective compliance management system for the project which ensures a high quality product in accordance with requirements from relevant regulatory bodies and a smooth approval process with authorities.

You will be coordinating safety and work environment related activities in the project and ensure that all relevant parties are being consulted on relevant aspects.

As a member of the Maersk Project Team the compliance engineer shall lead by example and demonstrate commitment to HSE by actively communicating HSE objectives through meetings, personal conversations and during site visits.

Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Report to management on the performance of compliance critical processes.
Coordinate and participate in internal and external safety, work environment and other studies required from relevant regulatory bodies, ensure appropriate detail level and follow up on findings.
Arrange for training in compliance and regulatory affairs related to the project for the project discipline engineers (in Cph and onsite).
Ensure offshore employee engagement through coordination with employee representative and participation in the project interim AMU.
Offer support to project team members on compliance related issues.
Be able to develop and implement compliance management through engineering, supply, fabrication, commissioning and installation.

Who we are looking for
You have a formal education in suitable technical, marine, HSE or quality engineering disciplines and you are proficient in HSE management systems.

You have a knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to safety and work environment in offshore drilling activities. It is a must that you have experience with and knowledge of Norwegian and UK offshore legislations.

On the personal level, you are a driven self-starter, who focuses on end-results and is able to communicate efficiently with people at all organizational levels.

Strong leadership and ability to constructively challenge and improve project processes and strong analytical and investigative skills.

Experience in collaboration with Asian yards will be a strong benefit.

Travel activities must be expected to the yard and site team in Singapore as well as to the office in Stavanger.
