Global Partnerships Coordinator.

We are currently seeking to recruit a Global Partnerships Coordinator.

About the Role

Working in 50 developing countries across Africa, Asia and the Americas, Plan has ‘One Goal’, whose aim is to reach as many children as possible, particularly those who are excluded or marginalized, with high quality programmes that deliver long-lasting benefits by increasing its income, working in partnership with others and operating effectively.

The Global Partnerships Team (GPT) has recently been formed to support the development of strategic, innovative and excellently coordinated global partnerships with corporate donors, supporting the achievement of Plan’s global strategic plan.

The purpose of this role is to support effectiveness of the unit through the development and implementation of systems and processes to ensure excellent co-ordination, knowledge management and smoothly administered activities.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of central databases for global partnerships drawn from across Plan entities containing regularly updated information including a list of existing and potential partners and their potential value for Plan.
  • GPT site administration responsibility for Plan’s internal SharePoint site.
  • Liaise and facilitate information sharing and learning with National, Country and Regional Offices for relevant information and updated materials including corporate partnership updates, country partnership prospect lists.
  • Coordinate updated global partnership information for the external website.
  • Design and communicate systematic processes for use by management for the scanning and assessment of potential partners Produce reports on the internal status of Plan’s corporate partnerships.
  • Draw reports as requested from the information stored.
  • Investigate and report on external Corporate Responsibility trends, competitive analysis and business intelligence.
  • Provides guidance and support to the due diligence/prospect process of all potential global partnerships.
  • Co-ordinate and gather information for development of global partnership toolkits including templates for proposals, reports and partnership contracts.
  • Design process and templates for Plan.
  • Provide logistical support for regional and global GPT workshops and conferences.
  • Arrange team travel and provide travel related admin support.
  • Provide logistical support to conferences and facilitate team meetings
  • Provide general financial admin support to the team such as processing expenses and invoices
  • Provide updates to the rest of the organization on what the GPT is doing
  • Research conducted, reported and shared
  • Produce reports on external Corporate Responsibility trends using information from external reports and publications on Corporate Responsibility, and other INGOs websites.

About you

Knowledge:

  • Excellent knowledge of database use for information storage and knowledge management
  • Good working knowledge of office/admin procedures
  • Knowledge of how INGOs engage with private sector partnerships, the kinds of information needed for excellent management of the relationship and the risks involved is desirable
  • Basic understanding of international development
  • Knowledge and experience of research methods

Skills:

  • Understanding and using SharePoint is a key skill in this position
  • Proven admin and logistic skills for small teams across global locations
  • Analytical skills to analyse global partnership information across Plan
  • Communication skills to explain upwards and across the organization the need for consistency, information and openness
  • Intermediate research skills
  • Intermediate communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate database management skills
  • Good negotiating ability and team working skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required essential
