National Director – WV Albania & Kosovo

The National Director will provide leadership to WV Albania & Kosovo (WVA&K) ensuring that the strategy and vision are clear, that staff are well integrated and engaged into high performance teams, and the organization is functioning effectively in order to fulfil its mission and achieve its goals.

We are looking for a visionary leader who can combine strong business disciplines with inspirational leadership skills in line with our Christian values and ethos. You will have a passionate desire to help others, especially children.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Strategy, Operating Plan and Long- and Short-Term Targets: Ensure there is a documented office strategy, Ministry strategies and operating plans with measurable short-term and long-term targets
• Leadership and Management of the office: Ensure excellent standards in the management of the human, financial, capital and technical resources of the organization, which includes inspiring and maintaining high standards of work and clear accountability to stakeholders
• Compliance and Country Legal environment: Ensure the office complies to local legal requirements and standards
• Financial Management and Financial and Operational Audit Compliance: Ensure efficient and effective organizational practices, that result in successful financial and operational audit scores
• Safety and Security, Disaster Mitigation and Preparedness: Develop and maintain capacity to mitigate and respond to natural and man-made emergencies

REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE:

• Master’s degree in International Development Business Administration Social Sciences or Ministry preferred
• Proven leadership (people) and management skills
• Proven skills in negotiation and ability to handle multiple demands from many stakeholders (networking)
• Cross Cultural skills - Good understanding of country political, social - economic and cultural context
