Maersk Drilling is expanding our business, and has commenced construction of two new ultra harsh, high capacity jack-up drilling rigs with Keppel FELS Limited in Singapore. The rigs are scheduled for delivery in 2014, and the new rigs are both targeted for the Norwegian market and will comply with Norwegian requirements.

We are now looking for a Purchaser to join ouronshore team in Stavanger.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day procurement of goods and services for our offshore units.
• You will be part of a team managing a variety of tasks for our offshore units including aspects such as:
• Day-to-day procurement of goods and services for our unit operations.
• Establish and maintain good relations and keep a close contact with local and international suppliers.
• Sourcing of new suppliers.
• Daily contact with the various departments onshore and onboard our offshore units.
• Contribution to a safe and efficient operation in all our procurement and logistics activities.
• Communication and co-operation with other Maersk Drillings entities, such as our offices in Copenhagen, Aberdeen, Houston and Singapore.
• Some administrative tasks oe. minor frame Contracts.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong drive and initiative.
You should be a good planner, analytical, commercially minded and with abilities to focus on both small but important details as well as larger aspects of an issue.
You will need to be a good communicator and co-operator, and must be fluent in written and spoken English and a Scandinavian language.
Computer skills with knowledge of MS Office programs are an asset.
Strong procurement process skills is a requirement.
We would also prefer that you have relevant experience from similar positions related to the offshore industry. We offer a challenging job in an international environment with possibilities for both personal and professional growth.
Some business travels might be required.
You will report to our Purchase and Logistic Manager.
