Technical Controller - Maersk Supply Service, Lyngby, Denmark
We Offer
You will be part of the Fleet Efficiency department in Technical Vessel Operations (TVO), responsible for the technical operation of a fleet of 67 advanced offshore supply vessels worldwide. Your new location is at Maersk Supply Service’s head office in Lyngby, Denmark, where a team of 7 colleagues awaits you. As a team you are responsible for supporting the technical operation by optimising processes and systems and developing our position as the most cost-effective provider of offshore vessel services and solutions in our segments. This involves a series of tasks that focus on bringing the right level of accessibility and transparency of required validated information to the operation. These tasks cover measuring and benchmarking our operational performance, general process improvements, streamlining the supply chain, application management, and developing and standardising supporting tools.
Key Responsibilities
Your main responsibility is to organise and consolidate a transparent spend structure and enable operational efficiency when delivering supporting activities across the TVO organisation. This involves:
• Managing the DRC reporting application
• Assist in detailed DRC spend and invoicing validation and optimisation
• Secure DRC accounting consistency
• Develop and present relevant benchmark reports
• Handle guarantee matters and TVO filing systems
You also secure applicable, optimised reporting and presentation tools and processes for colleagues with technical backgrounds. It is key to your success to secure delivery on agreed objectives within technical controlling and support, and value-adding to the operation on ad-hoc tasks. You can expect a wide contact base covering e.g. Technical Superintendents, Finance and Commercial departments and external service providers. You will report to the Head of TVO – Fleet Efficiency.
Who we are looking for
You have proficiency in data analysis and solid controlling competences. Through your relevant experience e.g. from previous employments, you have acquired a sound technical understanding and insight into ship management. You excel in stakeholder and change management, and relying on your good communication skills, you can effortlessly secure buy-in from stakeholders and drive change in an open and upright manner. You are highly self-driven and able to dig into and uncover complex processes as assigned and drive them on your own. You like to alternate between performing independently and being the team player contributing to team objectives. Since you become a super user of our management applications and financial systems, you must have keen competences in Excel and a solid command of financial IT tools in general. Lastly, you have fluency in written and spoken English.
> Last application date: 30 September 2012.
