Sr. Software Test Lead United States

Position Overview:

This role will serve as a key member of the Engineering team. In this role, you will work with local development leads and consultants along with development partners to test scalable and maintainable object and service oriented software. The ideal candidate must be proficient in building test plans, execution curves and providing detailed planning on testing with embedded software. In this position you will work with cross-functional teams and provide testing estimates for future releases while executing and tracking test cases for current release.


Key Skills & Experiences:


  • 10+ yrs of Testing of Distributed Software Architecture and Software Configuration

  • 5+ yrs of testing of Embedded Systems

  • 5+ yrs of C/C++/Scripting with Automation

  • 2+ yrs of Knowledge of RFID systems, Regulatory and Compliance testing

  • Deep knowledge of Windows Application development in embedded space

  • Worked in geographically diverse teams and lead team to build scalable and maintainable software systems

  • Knowledge of CANopen protocol and trace capturing

  • 5+ yrs working on embedded systems and also supporting BSP/drivers

  • Some knowledge of testing custom hardware with firmware and embedded software

  • Leading Test cycles and reporting test statistics for multiple simultaneous releases

  • Expert knowledge of SDLC

  • Ability to provide risk mitigation strategies and build scalable test processes.

Detailed Requirements / Preferences:


  • Extensive experience with leading large testing efforts for application software, embedded software and firmware for custom applications with custom hardware

  • Experience with multiple end to end life cycle of requirements, development , testing of multiple releases

  • Ability to take ownership and accountability of deployed software and supports sustaining release with escape analysis on defect arising from the field

  • Experience working in multiple development life cycle models (example: Agile Scrum, Waterfall)

  • Experience delivering products with automated unit tests built into the development life cycle

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to influence and negotiate with senior leadership:

  • Requires effective communication with cross-functional teams and management.

Education:


  • A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience is required. A Master’s degree in preferred
