Duties
The Agreements Policy Manager is a new position in the Agreements and Value for Money Branch of AusAID that will focus on improving current procurement and grant policies, introducing best practice and innovation, and communicating policy changes to the organisation and broader stakeholders.
The position reports to the Director, Procurement, Grants and Agreements Policy and will be responsible for:
• developing an implementation plan for the Agency’s Agreements Strategy, including underlying policies, procedures, guidance and associated templates and tools, in accordance with the Commonwealth Financial Management and Accountability legislative framework and related Commonwealth and AusAID policies;
• identifying and introducing innovation in procurement and grant processes and practice;
• developing requirements for an electronic agreement management system, and to manage the procurement and introduction into service of such system; and
• contributing to the development of training materials to incorporate policy changes, and delivery of training to Canberra and overseas-based officers.
 
Eligibility / Other Requirements
Experience in procurement and grant arrangements, including knowledge or experience in using the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Commonwealth Grant Guidelines is essential.
Candidates must be Australian citizens. This is a security assessed role and you will be required to either have, or be able to obtain, a security clearance at Negative Vetting 1 level.
