INTERPOL is now looking for a qualified candidate to serve as Assistant Director within the Operational and Investigative Support an Coordination Sub Directorate* in the Executive Directorate for INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation.
Job Title:Assistant Director, Operational and Investigative Support and Coordination
Reporting To:   Executive Director, INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation

Duration: Three-year secondment
Grade: Grade 2

The incumbent will oversee, manage and coordinate the work of the operational and investigative police support functions located within the INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation. While the incumbent will carry out his duties under the overall supervision of the Executive Director for the INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation, he will ensure daily coordination of his activities with the Director for Operational Police Support (for matters pertaining to the CCC Operations Room and the International DVI Platform) and with the Director for Specialized Crimes and Analysis (for matters pertaining to the specialized crime areas, programs, and projects that will be placed under the IGCI). The incumbent will notably ensure that specific guidelines, policies and SOPs issued by the Director OS, SCA, and the EDPSG Lyon are implemented and complied within his Sub-Directorate.
Primary Duties
1. To oversee and manage the INTERPOL Command and Coordinator Centre Operations room in the IGCI, Singapore (IGCI CCC Operations Room). This includes ensuring that instructions, guidelines and SOPs issued by the manager overseeing the overall CCC activity are implemented and complied with in the IGCI CCC Operations Room.
2. To oversee and coordinate the deployments of IMESTS and IRTs using resources from the IGCI CCC Operations Room, under the authority of the Director of Operational Police Support and the ED of IPSG Lyon, but in close coordination with the ED IGCI.
3. To oversee and manage INTERPOL’s DVI activities, including deployments for major disasters, the activities of the DVI Standing Committee and DVI Steering Group, and provide advice on DVI matters to the Director of Operational Police Support. In this role, the incumbent will liaise closely with the Assistant Director responsible for Technical and Forensic Databases (FTD).
4. To oversee and manage all specialized crime areas, programs, and projects that will be placed under the IGCI. This includes ensuring compliance with any policy and guidelines provided by the Director of Specialized Crimes and Analysis.
5. Performs other duties as required, and during the transition period, to perform all activities required to ensure the smooth transfer of persons and activities to Singapore.

Requirements
All candidates will be assessed on the under mentioned requirements.
Experience
• Minimum of 10 years of law enforcement experience, including a minimum of 5 years in supervisory/command positions.
• Strong experience in investigative police work.
• Experience in Disaster Victim Identification activities at the national and international level.
Languages
• Professional fluency in English required.
In addition to the requirements, the following Assets and Special Aptitudes would be beneficial.
• Experience in or exposure to international police cooperation will be considered an asset.
Working Conditions
• This post is to be filled on the basis of a secondment.
• Remuneration: INTERPOL does not pay salary to seconded officials. Depending on the nationality of the official, an expatriation allowance may be paid for a maximum period of six years. • This post requires occasional travel on missions, sometimes of a long duration and at short notice.
• The incumbent will be occasionally required to work irregular hours or overtime based upon workload.
*The Organization reserves the right to modify the Directorate and/or Sub-Directorate’s name and internal structure. This may have an impact on the functional title and reporting lines of this position.
