Under the strategic guidance of the Country Representative for Colombia, the incumbent will be responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating Colombia Country Office’s resource mobilization strategy including fundraising, partnerships, licensing and all forms of engagement with the corporate sector.
 
Major duties and responsibilities
  •  Develop, manage and evaluate fundraising strategies, including the analysis of all fundraising channels and marketing activities in order to maximize private sector income for UNIICEF in Colombia, within the context of an established and approved Country Programme
  • Define objectives and priorities related to income, investments, profitability, target audiences, fundraising and mobilization techniques/channels, and coordinate its implementation 
  • Motivate and inspire new corporate supporters to collaborate with UNICEF within a social responsibility approach, while nurturing and cultivating relationships with existing and new supporters and donors.
  • Position UNICEF’s brand to generate a strong positive UNICEF’s image to motivate and inspire donor support in collaboration with Communication section.
  • Coordinate work plans and strategy with Communication and Programme sections to help achieve overall Country Programme objectives and in accordance to regional and global priorities.
  • Lead the local fundraising team under his/her supervision, improve coordination with the regional and global fundraising structures
  • Ensure the efficient and effective management of human and financial resources and oversee budget in compliance with existing rules and regulations.
  
Education required
 
Advanced University degree in any of the following: Marketing, Business Administration, Fundraising and Philanthropy or a related technical field. A first level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degreeKnowledge of social development concepts and human rights approaches would be considered an asset.
 
Experience and skills required
 
Eight years progressively responsible professional work experience at the national and international levels in fundraising, marketing, public relations, social marketing and management experience.

Fluency in English and Spanish.
