Under the strategic guidance of the Country Representative for Mexico, the incumbent will be responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating Mexico Country Office’s resource mobilization strategy including individual and corporate fundraising, licensing, partnerships and non-financial corporate engagement with the private sector.
 
Major duties and responsibilities
 
  • Develop a comprehensive resource mobilization plan in support of UNICEF’s priorities at national, regional and global level. Design of a coherent strategy for each component of the plan: individual donors’ acquisition and cultivation, corporate engagement and licensing.
  • Motivate and inspire new corporate supporters to collaborate with UNICEF within a social responsibility approach, while nurturing and cultivating relationships with existing and new supporters and donors.
  • Position UNICEF’s brand to generate a strong positive UNICEF’s image to motivate and inspire donor support in collaboration with Communication section.
  • Coordinate high level engagement with key donors from the public and private sectors to mobilize and influence cooperation with UNICEF.
  • Develop and oversee work plans to ensure that objectives and targets are achieved. Conduct risk analysis to inform decision making on investments, partnerships and efficiency of the entire operation.
  • Coordinate work plans and strategy with Communication and Programme sections to help achieve overall Country Programme objectives and in accordance to regional and global priorities.
  • Ensure the efficient and effective management of human and financial resources and oversee budget in compliance with existing rules and regulations. 
 
Education required
 
Advanced University degree in any of the following: Marketing, Business Administration, Fundraising and Philanthropy or a related technical field. A first level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degreeKnowledge of social development concepts and human rights approaches would be considered an asset.
 
Experience and skills required
 
Eight years progressively responsible professional work experience at the national and international levels in fundraising, marketing, public relations, social marketing and management experience.

Fluency in English and Spanish.

This is a P4 post on the UN Salary scales.
