POSITION OVERVIEW

ISS Governance Services division, the world's leading provider of proxy voting and corporate governance solutions, is immediately seeking to expand its Account Management team in Brussels. We are opening two Client Service Analysts positions as of 1st February 2013.

Candidates are required to have professional experience in financial services and/or account management as well as strong interest in the corporate governance and proxy voting. They must have proven abilities to develop excellent working relationships with external clients and internal departments, be enthusiastic to learn about ISS Governance Services and be highly motivated to support clients in the use and application of ISS Governance products.
Client Service Analysts (CSA) must be detail oriented, adaptable, and eager problem solvers. Great communications skills are a must as the analyst will have to support all levels of client management. As the group continues to grow, our clients span some of the world's largest hedge funds, pension funds, asset managers as well as global and local custodian banks. Supporting the relationships for a portfolio of clients exposes the CSA to a wide range of institution types and ensures a challenging role with daily client interactions. To succeed in the role, the Client Service Analysts must learn about corporate governance and proxy voting services, learn about their client’s line of business, then bring that knowledge together to provide insight and best practices to those client organizations.
Performance is based on a combination of factors including account renewal rates, case metrics, and client feedback. The CSA is expected to have a deep understanding of proxy processing and client account environment. He/ she will provide day to day operational and client service support along working together with the ISS Relationship Manager for Governance clients and will serve as domain expert on ISS’ suite of proxy voting solutions.  The role involves travelling as one of the responsibilities is the attendance of Belgian shareholder meetings to cast the votes of ISS clients.

RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Own and manage client inquiry and issue resolution process using SalesForce.com and other internal tools;
  • Perform Master Account List reviews, ad hoc analysis and reports for clients using excel and other business analysis tools;
  • Conduct calls/visits with clients in conjunction with Relationship Managers (health checks, training, relationship planning and review);
  • Provide subject matter expertise in pre-sales/up-sell/on-boarding activities;
  • Documentation and maintenance of standard operating procedures;
  • Representation of ISS clients at shareholder meetings of Belgian companies;
  • Perform frequent testing of new product features;
  • Communicate market requirements to ISS Governance Services business leaders.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors required, Masters Degree preferred;
  • Min. 2 - 5 years experience in a client service or operations position, ideally in the financial services or corporate, governance industries;
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office functionality;
  • Innovative, motivated, client-oriented and commercially-aware thinker;
  • Organized and logical thinker, able to multi-task and deal with a significant work-load, often working to meet tight deadlines;
  • Meticulous, with attention to detail;
  • Ability to work independently, analyze problems and take initiatives; while being a strong team player;
  • Absolute personal and business integrity;
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills and working proficiency in English and at least one additional language French, Dutch or German;
  • Valid driving license.
