Country Programme Leader – Raleigh India


International Citizen Service (ICS)  is a DFID funded programme to work with in-country and UK volunteers (50/50 ratio) designed to have a positive development impact on poor communities while also achieving the personal and social development of the volunteers, giving them the knowledge and confidence to turn into social action following the programme. Raleigh International is one of the delivery partners in the VSO led Consortium.
 
Raleigh’s India Country Programme Leader (CPL) is one member of the staff team based in southern India responsible for representing and delivering Raleigh International’s programmes.  The role involves the day to day planning and management of the ICS programme including delivery and development, project planning, crisis management, safety, logistics, transport, training, managing volunteer leaders, routine budget control and managing the in-country office. 
We are looking for a professional with proven and extensive experience of developing and delivering sustainable community development programmes overseas and managing the welfare and activities of groups of youth volunteers (18- 25) and Volunteer Team Leaders to achieve the programmes aims. 
 
Prior experience of delivering overseas development programmes in a management role on a similar scale is an essential requirement for this role.
