INTERPOL is the world’s largest international police organization, with 190 Member States. INTERPOL is now looking for a qualified candidate to serve as Director within the INTERPOL Cyber Innovation and Outreach Directorate* in the Executive Directorate for INTERPOL Global Complex For Innovation.

The Director INTERPOL Cyber Innovation and Outreach is responsible for organizing and coordinating the development of digital crime and cybersecurity strategy and outreach and research efforts, to promote cooperation among stakeholders, in line with the strategic priorities of the organization.
Primary Duties
Management of the INTERPOL Cyber Innovation and Outreach Directorate
To be the principal driver of digital crime and cybersecurity strategy in the Organization by providing leadership and strategic overview in the development of global law enforcement cyber strategy, outreach and research programmes.
To act as a principal advisor to the Secretary General and Executive Director of IGCI on strategic direction and trends related to digital crime and cybersecurity strategy and outreach efforts.
To lead and manage a team developing strategy, and outreach programmes, analyzing trends and networking stakeholders, including leveraging the competencies of the team in the best interest of the Organization in cooperation with the INTERPOL Digital Crime Center.
Networking stakeholders
To develop and provide strategic overview to the development of programmes and partnerships to promote and reinforce global law enforcement cyber strategy development.
To promote and enhance co-operation on digital crime and cybersecurity through supporting INTERPOL’s engagement of public and private sector, academia, and international partners to harmonize global efforts and strategy to secure the cyberspace.
Leveraging knowledge, expertise and research
To leverage the knowledge, expertise and research of the Organization towards the development of research proposals and outreach initiatives.
To promote the development of innovative, collaborative research efforts on a global level.
To identify and define research needs of the law enforcement community and craft consequent strategy and programme development.
To leverage the knowledge and expertise of the Organization and all relevant stakeholders and partners in the implementation of outreach and research programmes.
Harmonizing the development of global cyber strategy
To promote the development of a global cyber law enforcement strategy, ensuring coordination and alignment of law enforcement and relevant stakeholders to foster sustainable global strategy.
To conceptualize working models for outreach and co-operation to promote public-private collaboration, information sharing through secure communication platforms and greater harmonization between stakeholders.
Performs other related duties as required by the Executive Director of INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation.

Education
Experience
Profound expertise in the area of cybersecurity at the executive management level in a law enforcement environment;
Extensive knowledge of current computer and communications technologies;
Demonstrated Hands-on digital security experience;
10 years successful managerial experience and leadership in cybersecurity area;
Demonstrated ability to cope effectively with multiple concurrent and complex tasks;
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team, manage personnel, to motivate them and encourage teamwork;
Ability to conduct needs analysis and evaluate alternative solutions;
Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with a wide variety of users;
Ability to mitigate conflicts;
Demonstrated initiative, pro-activeness and good negotiation skills;
Law enforcement training at senior level.

Working Conditions
This post is to be filled on the basis of a secondment.
Remuneration: INTERPOL does not pay salary to seconded officials. Depending on the nationality of the official, an expatriation allowance may be paid for a maximum period of six years. This post requires occasional travel on missions, sometimes of a long duration and at short notice.
The incumbent will be occasionally required to work irregular hours or overtime based upon workload.
*The Organization reserves the right to modify the Directorate and/or Sub-Directorate’s name and internal structure. This may have an impact on the functional title and reporting lines of this position. **The Organization reserves the right to change the duty station proposed in the present circular at any time, subject to the rules in force, and will inform the authorities concerned accordingly.
