Intelligence Coordinator (Southern Region)

Based in Kimberley and reporting to the Security Intelligence Manager, the successful candidate will coordinate the collection of Information and Intelligence from various sources for analysis, dissemination and decision-making as well as identify and appropriately address threats and vulnerabilities that impact on Petra Diamonds operations in the southern region.

Tasks and responsibilities: • Establish and maintain an effective internal and external information gathering network, primarily in the southern region • Collect information through a planned and systematic intelligence process to ensure accuracy • Coordinate the collection and input of data and information for analysis, dissemination and decision-making • Accurately populate and effectively maintain Information Reports on Online Intelligence for analysis and dissemination purposes
• Develop and maintain an updated database of all sources and informers • Accurately document and update source payments • Provide weekly updates and inputs to the Security Intelligence Manager on data/information collected and Intelligence Projects • Timeous reporting of data/information and Intelligence to the Security Intelligence Manager • Build and maintain good working relationships with the Security Intelligence Manager and colleagues, with Management and employees, and with internal and external stakeholders • Maintain an accurate and updated list of all equipment • Ensure optimal utilisation of equipment • Ensure all equipment is in good working order at all times • Immediately report and address faulty equipment • Ensure adherence to Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) policies and procedures.

Minimum requirements: • Grade 12 with National Higher Certificate/Diploma in Security Risk Management or equivalent • PSIRA - Grade A/B • Certificate of Fitness and Security Vetting (to be obtained with employment) • 8 years’ experience within the Security industry of which at least 5 years must have been within the Intelligence environment with a proven track record • Registration with the following professional bodies would be an advantage: Security Association of South Africa (SASA), South African Institute of Security (SAIS).
