INTERPOL is the world’s largest international police organization, with 190 Member States. Created in 1923, it facilitates cross-border police co-operation, and supports and assists all organizations, authorities, and services whose mission is to prevent or combat international crime. INTERPOL is now looking for four qualified candidates to serve as Capacity Building and Special Projects (CB & SP) Administrators within the Capacity Building, Training Research and Accreditation Sub-Directorate* in the Executive Directorate for INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation.
Job Title:CB & SP Administrators (four Posts)
Reporting To: Assistant Director, Capacity Building, Training and Accreditation
Location:  IGCI, Singapore**
Duration:  Three-year secondment
Grade:Grade 5
Security Clearance Level:Basic
Deadline for applications: Until posts are filled (first review of candidates on 31 July 2013)
Scheduled starting date: 2 posts by July 2014, 1 post by March 2015 and 1 post by March 2016

The incumbent shall work under the supervision of the Assistant Director Capacity Building, Training Research and Accreditation. He/she shall contribute to and assist in the development, implementation and coordination of the assigned special projects.

Primary Duties
1. Provide administrative and operational support within the framework of the approved budget for the establishment and roll out of special projects; 
2. Coordinate, develop and organize the curriculum for the assigned special projects and prepare the validation processes accordingly; 
3. Support the fundraising strategy of the Organization in co-operation with our strategic partner(s) to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of the projects; 
4. Monitor, conceptualize, plan and coordinate the training activities of the assigned projects in alignment with the global strategy of the Organization and operational strategy of the Capacity Building and Training Directorate;
5. Track and recommend opportunities for the infusion of relevant subject matter within the framework of the projects;
6. Coordinate  the implementation of assigned projects in conjunction with specialized 
team members;
7. Carry out all other duties as may be required by the hierarchy.

Requirements
All candidates will be assessed on the under mentioned requirements.
Education
• University degree (Bachelor or Master’s) in the field of training.
Experience
• Proved extensive professional experience in the field of training;
• Experience in coordinating and facilitating training;
• Budget management experience.
Languages
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Technical Competencies
• Good knowledge of training standards;
• Ability to negotiate;
• Capable of drafting administrative and training texts, reports, studies;
• Skilled in using spreadsheets.
In addition to the requirements, the following Assets and Special Aptitudes would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of French will be an asset.

Working Conditions
• This post is to be filled on the basis of a secondment.
• Remuneration: INTERPOL does not pay salary to seconded officials. Depending on the nationality of the official, an expatriation allowance may be paid for a maximum period of six years. • This post requires occasional travel on missions, sometimes of a long duration and at short notice.
• The incumbent will be occasionally required to work irregular hours or overtime based upon workload.

*The Organization reserves the right to modify the Directorate and/or Sub-Directorate’s name and internal structure. This may have an impact on the functional title and reporting lines of this position.
