INTERPOL is the world’s largest international police organization, with 190 Member States. Created in 1923, it facilitates cross-border police co-operation, and supports and assists all organizations, authorities, and services whose mission is to prevent or combat international crime. INTERPOL is now looking for a qualified candidate to serve as Staff Trainer within the Developmental Training Sub-Directorate* in the Executive Directorate for INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation.
Job Title:  Staff Trainer
Reporting To:   Head, Staff Development Training (Singapore)
Location: IGCI, Singapore**
Duration:Three-year secondment
Grade: Grade 5
Security Clearance Level:Basic

The key goal of the post holder shall be to assist the Assistant Director, Staff Development Training in the development and delivery of the developmental training strategy undertaken by the Organization for its staff in line with the organizational strategic direction and priorities.
Primary Duties
Under the direct supervision of the Head of Staff Development Training (Singapore), the post holder shall perform the following key duties:
1. Coordinate and implement the training programmes and sessions in all areas of developmental training to adequately and effectively meet the needs of the INTERPOL General Secretariat’s staff in Singapore;
a. To work in close collaboration with all senior staff to constantly identify emerging developmental training needs / gaps through the application of the INTERPOL Training Need Analysis (TNA) process;
b. To manage and coordinate developmental sessions; 
c. To ensure accurate data are downloaded in the training management system for the Annual Training Report; 
d. To instruct police officers and/or officials in at least one subject.
2. Coordinate with the Head of Staff development training (Lyon) as regards to the language training resources to adequately and effectively meet the needs of the INTERPOL General Secretariat’s staff in Singapore;
a. To support the annual review of the language training needs, develop and implement resources;  
b. To manage the Language Resource Center, or any multi-media learning resources for the staff in Singapore.
3. Continually evolve and implement modern training methods and tools to ensure effective training delivery and learning, including distance learning based tools;
a. To constantly assess the need for, identify and promote the latest and most efficient training approaches that would enhance effective training and learning;
b. To advise and develop the sharing of knowledge between the different duty stations of INTERPOL through the management of modern IT tools and distance learning capability (e.g. INTERPOL Global Learning Centre);
4. Provide advice to IPSG management and all officials in Singapore to ensure the quality of training curriculum and training efficiency through the development and effective application of the INTERPOL training assurance quality policy, training evaluation processes and performance management tools for all training programmes.
5. Carry out all other duties as may be required by the hierarchy.
Requirements
All candidates will be assessed on the under mentioned requirements.
Education
• University Degree (Bachelor or Master’s) in Education, Management or Psychology.
Experience
• At least 5 years of professional experience in staff training management and instruction delivery.

Languages
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Technical Competencies
• Ability to address publicly small and large group of people;
• Knowledge of the latest development in management theories and practices.
In addition to the requirements, the following Assets and Special Aptitudes would be beneficial.
• Working knowledge of Arabic, French or Spanish will be an asset.

Working Conditions
• This post is to be filled on the basis of a secondment.
• Remuneration: INTERPOL does not pay salary to seconded officials. Depending on the nationality of the official, an expatriation allowance may be paid for a maximum period of six years. • This post requires occasional travel on missions, sometimes of a long duration and at short notice.
• The incumbent will be occasionally required to work irregular hours or overtime based upon workload.

*The Organization reserves the right to modify the Directorate and/or Sub-Directorate’s name and internal structure. This may have an impact on the functional title and reporting lines of this position.
