Background / General description:
The Global Trade Finance Program (GTFP) was approved originally by the Board in October 2004 for a total of $500 million. Subsequently the Board has approved 2 increases on bringing the ceiling of the Program to a total of $5 Billion. 

In its first FY of operations, GTFP Commitments reached $264 million (320 Guarantees), the following year the commitment amount was $770 million (564 Guarantees) and during last year it reached $1.4 Billion (1,008 Guarantees). To date more than 220 Issuing Banks and Confirming Banks have been signed into the program. 

The team is now processing an average of 30 transactions per day (plus amendments and cancellations) and this volume is expected to increase substantially during the current FY as well as diversify when implementing other trade products such as cash advances/loans supply chain ,warehouse finance ,structured trade finance, distributor finance insurance and risk participations. 

The GTFP team requires a Trade team assistant to work in the Operations processing team, inputting bank limits, processing transactions, filing and performing other operational duties.
Duties and Accountabilities:
The position will report to the GTFP Operations Supervisor and will work closely with GTFP Operations Staff. 

In general, Trade team assistant will ensure the accurate and timely processing of all GTFP transactions, amendments and cancellations under the unfunded part of the Program.

In particular, the position responsibilities will include but not exhaust the following:

- Creating new Issuing Banks into iDesk coordinating with the pertinent Trade Specialists and with the portfolio Officers when needed. 

- Processing Issuing bank lines through R-MAM in iDesk with accuracy and making sure that the information is in-sync in the different systems. 

- Accurate processing of trade transactions, amendments and cancellations in GTFP2.0- or in applicable processing system- regarding the unfunded part of the Program. 

- Filing of all processed transactions and its respective documentation as well as maintaining a quality filing system for any operational issues. 

- Entering transaction information into the excel reporting sheet until deployment of pertinent phase of new processing system. 

- Entering Confirming Banks as partners into iDesk as well as their respective billing contact information; the latter not only for Confirming Banks but also for Issuing Banks. Responsible for updating billing contact information as needed. 

- Coordination/ close interaction with respective GTFP Regional Officers to ensure smooth and accurate processing of transactions (i.e. maintaining regional pipelines, clarification of specific information received in formal requests, regarding fees, paying party and so forth). 

- Frequent communication with the operations contacts of our client banks via e-mail or phone regarding operational/processing issues. 

- Performing other duties as requested.
Selection Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree 

- 3-5 years of experience, experience with an international/multinational organization preferred 

- Knowledge of IFC/IBRD systems, procedures, and documents a strong plus.

- Strong administrative and organizational skills are required. 

- Ability to work in a team environment with good interpersonal and communications skills. - 

- Detailed oriented and accurate personality

- High degree of motivation, flexibility, and reliability.

- Fluency in English is a must. Fluency in Turkish and other languages are a plus
