Project Administrator AngloGold Ashanti


AngloGold Ashanti (AGA) is the world's third largest gold producer with 20 operations in 10 countries on four continents.   AGA employs over 62,000 people globally.  In Australia, AGA operates the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine and is developing the Tropicana Gold Mine in which it has a 70% interest and is manager.  Independence Group NL holds the remaining 30%.  The Sunrise Dam and Tropicana operations are both situated in WA.
Tropicana represents the most significant Australian gold discovery of the last decade.  The new, large scale open pit gold mining operation will produce 3.45 million ounces over a 10 year mine life (approved project).  Construction began in 2011 and first gold is anticipated in the December quarter of 2013.
We are now seeking an experienced Project Administrator to join our Tropicana Construction Team. Accountable to the Project Services Manager, this role is based in the Perth office (Monday-Friday) on a fixed-term contract until October 2013.
The main tasks of the role include but are not limited to:
  • Manage all travel support requirements for the project team members;
  • Coordination of meetings, meeting rooms and resources;
  • Minute taking on an as required basis;
  • Coordinate and manage office requirements local to the team area to include staff amenities, stationery, business cards, mail distribution and couriers;
  • Coordination of shared corporate services to include IT, printers and copiers when required;
  • Expense reports and credit card reports as required;
  • SAP data entry and report generation;
  • Reporting and word processing to include:
  • Project reports and presentations;
  • Support delivery of cost and schedule reports as required;
  • Ad hoc reports in support of the TGP team members
  • Document management to include:
  • Uploading, monitoring and maintenance of project documentation and electronic files, emails and records;
  • Establish and maintain hard and electronic copy filing of project documents
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Proven experience as an Administrator, preferably within the projects area;
  • Experience in records management and document control;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel;
  • Previous exposure with, flight and accommodation booking systems;
  • Strong administrative skills including accurate typing and document proof reading;
  • Ability to multi-task successfully and work autonomously;
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • SAP experience (purchase requisitions, purchase orders and service entries) would be beneficial
