Hours of Work: Shift work - morning, day and evening shifts as well as some night work
BBC World Service Sport is looking for two Assistant Producers to work across a wide range of International sport programming. We need all-round sports broadcast journalists who can turn their hands to presenting and producing bulletins, as well as taking the lead in the production of longer format and feature output.

 

Role

In this role, you will be required to compile sports bulletins and programmes primarily for the World Service, including our flagship weekend programme, Sportsworld. The role will include researching stories, writing cues and copy, and editing audio. You will be expected to assist the main studio producer for weekend programmes and take on this role from time to time. In time, with training, you will also be expected to work as part of the team producing material for TV sports bulletins on BBC World, and may also have the opportunity to produce and/or edit video content for the Sport website and Red Button.

Requirements

 
You will be required to work with our team of reporters and correspondents, to ensure the best possible coverage for our Global Sports output. You will also be expected to keep across other BBC outlets and news agencies, etc, to help generate and develop story ideas and treatments and bring an International perspective to the coverage of Sport on the BBC. A good on air voice is also essential.
