ISDA is the global trade association representing all participants in the privately negotiated derivatives industry, with over 800 member firms around the world and offices in New York, London, Brussels, Washington, Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo.
ISDA has a vacancy in its EU regulatory affairs team, for a talented individual with a flair for public policy issues as well as technical detail. The post is in London, reporting to the Deputy Head of EMEA but also involving extensive work with the Head of ISDA’s Brussels office.
The team is responsible for ISDA’s regulatory analysis and advocacy at European Level, both with EU and national institutions. The role will require travel to EU member state capitals. It also involves liaison with global regulatory implementation committees, which put major legislation into practice within the full range of customers and dealers.
Candidates are likely to hold a relevant degree; a qualification in European studies being an asset.  Excellent written English and ability in least one other major European language is expected; as is relevant work experience. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of European wholesale financial services regulation and privately negotiated (‘OTC’) derivatives.
