Women’s World Banking (WWB) is an international network of 39 MFIs in 27 countries to bring financial services and information to low-income entrepreneurs. Its mission is to expand the economic assets, participation, and power of poor women as entrepreneurs and economic agents by opening their access to finance, knowledge and markets. It seeks to alleviate global poverty by expanding the economic assets, participation, and power of the poor, especially women.
About the Job: 
WWB is seeking proposals from qualified independent consultants or firms to provide WWB with leadership and organizational development services for a total of 11 days maximum over the period of February to August 2013.
Tasks and Responsibilities: 
  • Collaborate with WWB on the development of a needs-assessment questionnaire and analysis of data to understand current critical strategic challenges facing each participating organization;
  • Develop a training program outline and content design for 4 senior microfinance leaders;
  • Create pre-work in advance of the program;
  • Participate in developmental conversations with participants to prepare them for the program;
  • Co-facilitate with WWB staff the three day program in Santo Domingo;
  • Collaborate with WWB staff on evaluation metrics and tools;
  • Produce summary report of program;
  • Conduct targeted virtual follow-up with participants.
Qualifications: 
  • Strategic leadership development consulting expertise;
  • Relevant experience in organizational development/strategic human resources;
  • Experience training senior executives;
  • Experience facilitating strategic planning processes;
  • Knowledge of best practices in peer to peer learning exchanges;
  • Strong facilitation skills;
  • Fluency in Spanish and professional experience in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC);
  • Organizational and analytical skills, detail orientation;
  • Willingness to work in a close team environment.
