Asia Technical Director 
Location: Bangkok, Thailand (Phnom Penh, Cambodia will also be considered)

The Asia Technical Director will provide technical leadership of Malaria Consortium Asia and its strategy development and direction, including development and technical oversight of Asia-based projects, ensuring that the organisation achieves its strategic objectives with the highest technical quality. They will also contribute at a senior level to global organisational and business development as a member of Malaria Consortium’s Asia Regional Management Team and Global Management Group. In addition to the above, the Asia Technical Director together with the Technical Director, Director of Monitoring and Evaluation will identify and explore opportunities for business development in the region. They will set annual targets for the achievement of Malaria Consortium’s strategic plan together. The Asia Technical Director will lead, line manage, mentor and develop a team of regional technical staff and provide technical support, advice and guidance to MC Asia programmes and national health authorities. The role also involves monitoring of Malaria Consortium Strategy key performance indicators and highlight successes and problem areas to the Technical Director/GMG.
Terms of Reference Consultancy to support the opening of a country office in Yangon
Location: Myanmar, Yangon

Malaria Consortium is supporting the Health Department of Myanmar in their efforts to control malaria in the country. Malaria Consortium has actively supported the Health Department of the last three years. During the past years we have negotiated a MoU with the Health Department and have recently agreed on the text and are now awaiting further progressing of the document. The Government has invited us in the meanwhile to open the office in Yangon.

Regional Programme Manager 
Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Under the direction of the Asia Programmes Director and as part of the Asia Management Team, the RPM will support the implementation of the organisational strategic plan and the country specific strategic plans. The RPM will oversee programs and projects in Cambodia and will support projects in Thailand and Myanmar as required. The RPM will be responsible for ensuring the establishment and management of processes to support high quality project development and implementation across the Asia Region. The RPM will manage and support the Head of Office in Cambodia ensuring best practice in both people and programme management, while maintain close communication with the Asia Regional Office. In conjunction with the APD and the ATD, the RPM will perform representational and fundraising duties and will ensure that MC’s vision and mission.

Request for Expression of Interest (EoI)
Location: Thailand

EoI for Pooled Real-Time polymerase chain reactions (RT-PCR) and serological tests for Thailand Malaria Survey (TMS) 2012. The Thailand Malaria Survey 2012 has been conducted among 3,320 households from 83 villages. In the study areas, 40 households per village are included in the survey. With an average household size of 3.5, it is anticipated that approximately 11,620 dried blood spot samples will be collected. This scope of work will be to conduct polymerase chain reactions (PCR) - either traditional, pooled, or real-time - to identify samples with malaria parasites and its species and serological testing.
