Job Summary
Cardno, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Administrator for our Clearwater, FL office. The Payroll Administrator will provide support to the Payroll Manager by performing all elements of Payroll for multi-divisions located in the central and western US.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Establish and maintain employee payroll records, check and audit timecards for compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Record keeping and payroll processing activities: computing wage and overtime payments, prevailing wage and Davis Bacon payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions including garnishments and levies, processing special requests, new hire and terminations maintaining compliance with all state and federal laws/regulations.
- Balancing automated system output between financial and payroll systems, including preparing general ledger entries, inspecting system output such as registers and standard reports, reconciliation of payroll accounts including determining and correcting out-of-balance conditions.
- Assist all staff with special requests, quarterly and annual reporting.
Other Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years full automated (non-batch) payroll knowledge and experience.
- 2+ years usage of Microsoft software programs.
- A strong aptitude for math/accounting.
- Exceptional customer service.\
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff.
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field highly preferred.
- American Payroll’s Fundamentals of Payroll Certification (FPC) desired.
- Experience with Ultimate Software Payroll System and BST Financial System preferred.
