Our cultural resources staff has experience in more than 40 states and territories, for a variety of federal and state agencies and private sector clients, and our cultural resources practice is equal in organizational standing with the company's other service practices.  Of note, Cardno TEC provides cultural resources services under more than 20 Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contracts for the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and other federal and state agencies.

Cardno TEC is seeking a full-time Staff Archaeologist/Project Manager in our Boise, Idaho Office.

Key Responsibilities

​Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Developing proposals, project budgets and schedules
  • Managing multiple projects
  • Developing background research
  • Directing fieldwork and field crews
  • Directing cultural resource projects
  • Directing data management for NEPA projects
  • Writing reports and sections for EA/EIS projects
  • Providing documentation for Section 106 and Native American Consultation
  • Marketing local and regional clients
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Other Requirements

​The minimum requirements for this position are:
  • A graduate degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or closely related field
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in the discipline of archaeology
  • Experience in the Pacific Northwest is a plus
  • At least 6 years of full-time professional experience at a supervisory level in the study of archaeological resources
  • Federal agency experience/clients a plus
  • Must be able to travel and perform field work (survey, excavation)
  • Must have strong writing skills
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
 
Additional Considerations: May be required to work in project locations remote from their home office for extended time periods, and such remote deployments may recur with as little as three (3) calendar days intervening between deployments.

  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
