BBC Sports News is looking for three Assistant Producers to work on radio sports bulletins produced from the BBC Sport Centre in Salford Quays.
Sports News is the part of BBC Sport that provides the daily sports journalism and news stories for the whole of the BBC. The Sport Centre provides multiplatform content for TV, radio and online teams and also generates sports news bulletins for the BBC News Channel, network TV news, BBC World Service and World TV News, and Radio 5 Live. 

Role

 
In this role you will work with the radio sports news output team compiling hourly sports news bulletins primarily on BBC 5live and on other outlets where required. You will work alongside broadcasters, other producers and broadcast assistants, work closely with studio technical staff, liaise with sports correspondents and reporters in the field, and coordinate with 5live news programmes to ensure that material is delivered effectively
The successful candidates will work on a shift pattern which includes early starts and late finishes and regular weekend working

Requirements

 
Applicants must have experience of writing sports copy either for radio, TV, online or print output.  Some experience of radio broadcast techniques is also desirable. Other essential requirements are: an ability to work under pressure and deal with breaking news situations; to be able to work as an effective member of a team; evidence of being able to build relationships with colleagues, managers, guest contributors and audiences.
