About the role

As a member of the Geotechnical Mining team, reporting to the Manager Mining Geotechnical, the main objectives of this key role is to;

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and vendors to enhance engagement and service levels and support market and knowledge sharing
• Develop an intimate understanding of clients’ needs ensuring a balance between innovation thought leadership, needs based analysis and the provision of independent technically sound outcomes
• Be committed to and undertake managing the employee lifecycle and career development of team members while providing direction and support to the growth and balance of the group
• Lead by example to instigate and follow safe work practices; promote the physical security of our people and assets

About You

Ideally you will have;

• Hold a Bachelor degree in a relevant field from a recognised tertiary institution.
• Have membership of relevant professional organisation(s)
• A combined 15 years’ of experience in the resources sector that may include mine operations, consultancy and academia
• Demonstrated ability to apply project management processes to service delivery for medium to high complexity projects
• Passion for Mine Geotechnical Engineering
• Drive and enthusiasm to deliver technical presentations, publish and share your knowledge through appropriate forums such as peer reviewed journals, conferences and symposia
