Director Performance Improvement — IT Advisory (EMEIA FSO) Ernst&Young | Brussels


Within IT Advisory, we help Business and IT Executives to measure, enable and improve IT effectiveness to increase the overall return on IT investments.  We help our Financial Services clients to conduct business transformation through technology by combining our deep business and technical experience.  As an independent third party, IT Advisory also helps support and deliver large-scale IT transformation programs.
 
As IT Advisory Executive Director, you are known as a trusted advisor to  Business and IT executives and recognized as a quality leader in the delivery of large business and IT transformation programs.
 
You display a very high level of competency in business development and/or technical knowledge, as well as a good understanding of internal operations. You also have strong client delivery and engagement management experience. As a trusted advisor, you'll identify and develop client and market growth opportunities and use your key subject matter knowledge to develop thought leadership for clients.
 
As a valued leader, you'll create and direct high-performing teams across Ernst & Young, improve learning opportunities for others and create and deliver cross-practice team learning events. As a role model for quality & risk management, you'll confirm that all client work is delivered to a high standard of quality in accordance with Ernst & Young's Q&RM guidelines.
 
Client responsibilities:
  •    Providing Business & IT Executives facing services and lead IT Advisory engagements
  •    Plan, prepare and review deliverables in various forms including written reports, presentations and discussions with clients, Ernst & Young teams and other parties
  •    Communicate significant issues, fees, and estimates-to-complete to clients
  •    Understand Ernst & Young's full service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients
  •    Build strong internal relationships within Ernst & Young Advisory Services and with other services across the organization
  •    Develop your personal profile and awareness of Ernst & Young's offerings in the marketplace
  •    Build strong, long-term relationships with key client sponsors
  •    Manage delivery risks and financials of client engagements
  •    Act as an ambassador for Ernst & Young in the market and with clients
 
People responsibilities:
  •    Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring all levels of staff
  •    Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for all levels of staff
  •    Drive people-related initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training IT Advisory Services professionals
  •    Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills of all levels of staff
  •    Act as a leader of the business and as a role model for staff.

You have deep knowledge and experience in a number of the following areas:
  •    Technology enabled business transformation in the area of multi-channel distribution and mobile solutions.
  •    Technology enabled business transformation in the area of prospect / customer management, sales supporting solutions and state of the art CRM approaches.
  •    Enterprise / Solution architecture (including business, information and application architecture)
  •    Enterprise Intelligence (Business Intelligence, Enterprise Performance Management, Data Management)
  •    Excellent language skills – fluent in English, French and Dutch
  •    15 years of experience in a relevant function.
 
You have a successful track record in Retail or Wholesale Banking / Insurance gained through a top tier consultancy, a specialist financial services consultancy, a top tier bank or insurance firm).
