Introduction
Our client based in Ixelles representing through its 33 member federations in 29 European countries the interests of contractors of all sizes carrying out all kinds of activities from craftsmen through to the largest contractors in the industry.

Description
- monitoring and anticipation of relevant developments in the European institutions in particular as concerns new or amended legislative proposals including proposals for European standardisation;
- drafting position papers setting out the industry?s position for discussion and agreement with the member federations and the statutory bodies;
- organising meetings, drafting agendas and minutes of the various sub-commissions and plenary meetings;
- defending positions towards the EU Institutions
- representing positions and making presentations at conferences and other venues, as well as in the press.

Profile
- be a native English speaker with a good working knowledge of French and German;
- have a master degree
- have experience of the construction industry, preferably in a construction company
- have experience working in a European or international lobbying environment;
- have knowledge of the current EU legislative process;
- have excellent communication skills both orally and written (IT skills in MS Office applications);
- be willing to undertake travel in Europe.
