Coffey International Development is currently seeking expressions of interest from a suitably qualified Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for AusAID’s upcoming Laos Australia Rural Livelihoods Program.
 
Key Responsibilities
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist will be responsible for developing the project M&E plan, ensuring data collection and analysis, and overseeing monitoring and improvement of project performance. They will be involved in the development of M&E tools and applications, as required by the project’s results framework and activities timelines.
For success in this position, applicants will need to demonstrate considerable professional work experience developing M & E Frameworks, monitoring & evaluating both large programs and small interventions, familiarity with DECD standard on impact monitoring for M4P projects, experience in providing strategic direction & capacity building in evaluation to programs and effectively monitoring and evaluating social inclusivity, gender equality and other cross cutting issues.

Key Requirements
  • Post Graduate qualifications in statistics, social sciences, management and information sciences, or related field.
  •  
    Essential
  • Minimum 7 years in monitoring and evaluation of rural development programs in developing countries;
  • Practical understanding of the Theory of Change;
  • Familiarity with performance framework and indicators preferable;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; and
  • Organised individual with excellent writing skills, with proven experience in writing reports.
  •  
    Candidates with practical experience in South East Asia will be highly regarded. The ideal candidate will have high level interpersonal and cross-cultural skills, a knowledge and sensitivity to cultural issues in the area as well as a sound understanding of South East Asia in a development context.
     
    This position is contingent upon project award and funding.
