The role
We are currently seeking a highly experienced professional to join our Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) team as a Principal to continue building our specialist environmental expertise, specifically in Oil/Gas and mining. Based in our Brisbane office, this role, together with other senior staff, will be required to develop, implement and progressively refine the business’s strategic direction and business plan as well as provide technical input into projects.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Fulfilling the role of project director on individual projects and take overall responsibility for client liaison, strategic direction, technical performance, and staffing, financial and scheduling performance
  • Providing strategic advice and assistance to clients and project teams on the aspects involved in the project
  • Maintaining and managing existing client relationships and developing new relationships with potential clients
  • Marketing the firm’s capabilities and services, build our market profile, identify new prospects and win new business
  • Mentoring and supporting the professional development of individual staff members.
The person
You will have extensive experience working in an environmental consulting capacity with a focus on managing Environmental Impact Assessments. Significant experience in building teams, business development, project management, preferably within major mining and oil/gas will be highly sought after as will strong influencing and people management skills. You must also hold tertiary qualifications in a related science or engineering field.
