BBC Global Sports News is currently looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Producer to join the established Sports team in Salford.

Role

 
 As Assistant Producer, you will  initiate, gather and produce material for sports news with a main focus on World TV News, routinely shooting and editing own material and act as an occasional duty editor on World sports news programmes.
 The main focus of the AP role is to routinely shoot and edit complete sports news packages and features whilst demonstrating a  high standard of journalism and production and maximise the use of new technology to deliver material at base and on location.

Requirements

 As an experienced self-shoot camera operator you will be able to shoot to a high standard and be experienced in producing and scripting short features for broadcast. An experienced editorial decision maker,  you will be able to creatively use the medium of video to tell a story and have an awareness of different styles/approaches to programme making.

Excellent sporting knowledge with experience of/or demonstrable interest in Global sporting issues is essential.
