Developer administrative applications (GS-3) - ICTP
Under the supervision of the head of the ICT section to participate in the development of the new systems which will replace various administrative applications at ICTP. Essential responsibilities include:
- To contribute to the creation and review of specifications.
- To develop applications and functionality enhancements based on specification (a centralized database will be used in combination with a Document Management System, report painter and web tools).
- To perform testing and correct anomalies.
- To create documentation and maintain it.
- To provide support related to the administrative applications.
- To perform any additional tasks assigned by the direct supervisor to ensure the success of the work of the section.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Secondary Education.
- 3 years of relevant work experience in developing applications (preferable administrative applications).
- Experience in programming languages (preferable Java, Javascript)
- Experience in the usage of relational data bases (preferable PostgreSQL) and DMS/CMS systems.
- Experience in developing applications with web-interfaces.
- Capacity to adapt to different cultural environments; cooperative behaviour and attitudes to undertake teamwork successfully.
- Good knowledge of English.
- Good working knowledge of the Italian language.
