We have an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute Senior Human Resources Advisor to join our Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) Human Resources team based in our Brisbane global head office. Reporting to the ANZ Human Resources Manager, you will partner with a diverse client group to provide operational and strategic advice and guidance on a wide range of HR matters while seeking out continuous improvement opportunities. 

Key Responsibilities


Specifically, your duties will include:
  • Manage and oversee the HR requirements of a diverse client group of approximately 600 staff in all areas of employee relations, compensation and benefits, resource planning and employee engagement
  • Act as a trusted advisor and partner with the business managers to achieve that delicate balance between commercial requirements, risk and a positive people centric environment
  • Manage and engage a close knit team of two HR professionals and contribute to their ongoing professional development
  • Ensure global and local HR programs are effectively implemented and managed within the client group
  • Identify and implement training and development programs in line with organisational requirements
  • Ensure best practice HR standards are employed and where relevant application of Awards and industrial instruments
  • Manage monthly and ad hoc HR reporting.

Other Requirements


In order to be successful for this role you will possess:
  • Degree level qualifications in the field of Human Resources combined with extensive experience within a medium to large generalist HR environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading a Human Resources team
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish and develop meaningful relationships with internal stakeholders while being able to critically evaluate situations and apply relevant negotiation and influencing techniques
  • A proactive approach in identifying opportunities to continuously improve the HR function and add value to the organisation
  • An ability to apply confidentiality and sensitivity to complex issues as they arise
  • Experience within an engineering consultancy desirable but not essential
  • A sense of humour coupled with a positive and engaging outlook to ensure HR best practice is promoted
