Mission •To become a Subject Matter Expert within the Graduate programme timeframe through task management and learning activities 
 
KPA Duties:
All tasks are appropriate to the specific portfolio allocated to the SME •The provision of innovative solutions and service excellence to ensure effective risk mitigation •To understand, anticipate and capitalise on changes in consumer behaviour •Drive relationships with Internal and external stakeholders •To achieve measurable results Operational Planning •Optimise and align productivity and quality compliance, system transactions and reporting processes with organisational objectives in order to provide seamless customer service and experiences, considering (1-2 years) implications of actions from a broad perspective which includes other areas of the business, as well as the interdependency of units. •Research and ensure the optimal use of technologies and systems that will assist in productivity and quality compliance, reporting and store system development. •Track store compliance with MTN’s business rules with regards to customer experience expectations •Robust analytic drill-through: Explore the trends, correlations, and root causes behind performance with predefined and ad hoc query and reporting against data aggregated from multiple sources •Provide advice on the best approach to reach the best results, and input into the fine-tuning of processes and procedures accordingly. Channel Operations Management •Ensure that systems are streamlined to reduce cost to the business, constantly looking for smarter and cost effective ways to support the portfolio •Ensure compliance to systems developed by monitoring processes and implementation, identifying and dealing with variances proactively as pertains to the portfolio. •Report on performance and variances as pertains to the portfolio •Understand the impact of risks on other areas of the businesses, pre-empting problems that may arise and recommending appropriate solutions as pertains to the portfolio. •Ensure adherence and consistency of application to PPPs, reviewing them frequently to ensure that they remain valid and current •Proactively analyse data relative to the portfolio to look for trends not currently part of the compliance framework. •Drive best practice, continuous improvement and innovation at process and procedure level. •Embed a focus on quality and compliance into day-to-day processes to proactively minimize the possibility risk arising from non-compliance. •Construct, implement and fine-tune methods, processes and systems to enhance effectiveness and meet organisational goals in conjunction with the portfolio •Understand, and collate innovate ways, and local requirements and action plans for the portfolio in relation to the execution and implementation of the strategy and also liaise with the approved stake holders. •Ensure compliance of strategy to the portfolio and implement remedial action for non-compliance Relationship building and maintenance •Build and maintain relationships with all stake holders. •Assist with systems and projects as pertains to the portfolio •Liaise with external suppliers as necessary to respond to queries. Escalate where appropriate •Follow up on and respond to all queries as pertains to the portfolio Report Generation •Report on results from root cause analysis conducted on transactions across the channel through the relevant reporting structures. •Report on findings from monitoring the effectiveness of systems as pertains to the portfolio •Periodically report on related activities to the relevant stakeholders (including statistical reports) •Provide inputs for the preparation of channel related process documents as pertains to the portfolio •Provide input into the monthly Channel Enablement Reports as pertains to the portfolio •Provide auditors with all necessary information as required and ensure that all audit points relevant to this position are dealt with timeously and accurately . Budget Management •Contribute to the Forecast, plan, develop and review budget for the portfolio •Monitor costs and determine initiatives to optimise resources. Ensure cost effectiveness by maximising cost/benefit ratios •Identify areas where money is lost and seek ways to reduce expenditure •Identify opportunities to generate additional revenue as pertains to the portfolio 

Requirements:

Education: •Appropriate post matric qualification (Sales and Marketing / Business Management)
Experience: •No Experience 


Knowledge: •Excellent knowledge as pertains to the portfolio within MTN •Good business acumen •Understanding of business finance, including budget management •Knowledge of risk and compliance systems and controls •Knowledge of cellular best practices •Knowledge of local markets, including market trends •MTN products and services •Understanding the regulated environment •Understanding of the MTN business •Understanding of basic human resource management •Computer literacy including Microsoft Office •In-depth knowledge of standard operating procedures
