As International Policy & Campaign Advisor within our Policy, Advocacy and Campaigns Department you will work on one of our priority campaigns - tax justice. Day-to-day you will contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of our international tax justice campaign strategy, undertaking policy analysis and research on tax justice issues as well as working with our international research working group to ensure consistent methodology and quality in policy research and analysis. You will also support campaigns and policy capacity building internationally to help ensure ActionAid continues to build its global strength on tax justice as we scale up our campaigning.
From a public policy, NGO or academic environment, we expect you to have excellent knowledge of development including a strong understanding of power relations as well as the political and economic forces which shape relations between the global North and South. It is likely you will have worked in the policy, advocacy and campaigns arena and it is essential that you possess significant experience of policy analysis and research covering tax/corporate issues. You’ll be well versed in developing and implementing campaigns that engage the public and influence decision makers, as well as experience of working in developing countries or closely with NGOs in developing countries. Comfortable producing engaging lobbying and campaigning materials you will have strong analytical, research and presentation skills as well as the ability to build productive networks internationally.
