Public Affairs Director - UNICEF UK

We are now seeking to appoint a new Public Affairs Director. This role reports to the Deputy Executive Director for Communications and Programme and is part of the Strategic Leadership Group. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring UNICEF UK effectively uses policy and advocacy in the UK to bring about its vision of achieving a world fit for children. In addition, you will be responsible for coordinating the broad framework for influencing, lobbying and campaigning across different UK audiences including civil society, government and businesses to improve policy and practice on child rights both in the UK and internationally.
You will bring exceptional experience in international development policy work, an in-depth understanding of the political context in which development policy decisions are made and the profile and personal gravitas to represent UNICEF UK at the highest levels externally. As Director of the Public Affairs team, you will demonstrate proven visionary and strategic leadership skills and the ability to inspire and lead a high performing Public Affairs team, as well as engaging across UNICEF UK to ensure an integrated approach to achieving our strategic goals to increase income and influence.
